The food was delicious! We started with the octopus appetizer and baked oysters. Both were great and the octopus was very tender ! We then tried the veal chop and branzino and they were also cooked perfectly with great flavors. We would definitely recommend this spot.
I'll keep this simple. My wife and I have been coming here weekly for three years and will sum it up in one word that you know what is hard to find in a restaurant... consistent. The food is always on point, and MJ behind the bar is always a pleasure after a long week. What a great place! Needless to say, see you next week!
My husband and I had a lovely dinner this evening for my husband’s 66th birthday. We really had a nice evening out and a delicious meal. The bread was fresh and warm. Each course was beautifully prepared and savory. The gnocchi texture was perfect.. my husband looovvveedd his salmon! The waiter was awesome, and surprised him with an amazing chocolate dessert lit by a candle that was out of this world. We loved the food, and definitely will be coming back!
Our first time there! We sat at the bar on a Saturday night! The place was superpacked! Christian, our bartender was the best! The best! So attentive and service was on point! And even though it was extremely busy he still found time to chat up these new customers! We'll be back soon!
Finally got to try this place! It was a very spacious and beautiful restaurant with great ambiance! Their Octopus and Barrata from the starters menu were fantastic and the rigatoni was delicious. The highlight of the night was the dessert of course, (we even forgot to take the picture!) the vanilla ice cream with peach was to die for. The customer service was amazing and my friends and I had a wonderful evening here. I highly recommend this place!
The food here is FABULOUS! The interior is well decorated and there is a good vibe when you walk in. The people are very friendly, all in all its a great meal. The prices are consistent with the level of quality you receive. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely want to support this restaurant. I dropped a star on service because of an incident we had when seated outside. Our waiter basically forgot about us. One of the other waiters ended up serving us and the Owner was kind enough to comp some of the meal. This one incident didn't prevent us from coming back many times and this has not been an issue since. This is in a small shopping center so there is typically plenty of parking. They have a full bar but they do offer "cork service" for 20.
The service & dinner was excellent. Love the ambience of Vela. I had the bass special it was so yummy. We celebrated one of the girls birthday and we could have pick a better place to celebrate.
